Recognizing Our Strengths In Times of Need!
August 5, 2026“If you are not tuned into the energy world, you are using about half of your human abilities” ~ Jeffery Allen
In Japan, the concept of energic life force called “Hado,” has been recognized for centuries. The word itself is made from two Japanese characters; one representing “wave” and the other representing “move.” Hado is seen as present in everything, alive or inanimate.
We can witness the energies of Hado when we watch a field of grain moving in the wind, trees blowing in a storm or when viewing artwork like Katsushika Hokusai’s paintings of the sea. It is also a driver of the development of energetic healing methods and the concept can be seen in how these methods actually work.
Reiki and Healing Touch are two commonly known energetic healing methods. Both of these techniques begin with the practitioner moving in the energies around them and focusing them on the body of the person they are working with. The energies flow to the area of greatest need in the body of the person receiving the healing. Reiki was founded by a Japanese physician named Mikao Usui who wanted to find a way to better heal his patients.
Healing Touch is akin to Reiki but differs in some techniques used. While Reiki uses the hands as a conduit of healing energies on or near the body, it also incorporates symbols. Healing Touch does a biofield assessment with hands, magnetic passes of sweeping hands, chakra connection, and balancing and clearing to boost vitality. Healing Touch is used in hospitals and clinics frequently, most often performed by nurses.
Mindful Meditation is a form of observing and engaging in the moment and as such is a witness to Hado. This form of meditation allows you to observe, feel, and be impacted by the energy and those things that are moved by it.
Some of the more physical ways of experiencing Hado are these:
Aromatherapy: The inhaled vapors of the medicinal plant enter through the nose directly to the brain and the chemicals use a lock and key method to connect to the neurotransmitter in the brain they affect. This is why it is essential to always use organic, therapeutic grade essential herbal and flower oils. You don’t want anything directly connecting with your cells that could harm you. Hado rides the waves of this process.
Breathwork: Rhythmic breathing can reduce anxiety, ground and center a person, relax and revive. Think of these rhythms and the wave and movement of Hado. The simple act of this type of breathing is also good for brain, lung and heart health.
Therapeutic music, Toning and Tibetan Sound Bowling: Music is sound waves that are picked up by our ears, the vibrations then being transferred to the auditory (cochlear) nerve. The brain picks up these sound waves and translates them into all that we hear. Therapeutic music chords and note patterns, vocal toning and chanting, and Tibetan sound bowls all carry unique sounds that heal, calm and relax the human body. Again, here we can see the sound waves and changes of chords being Hado patterns.
Biofeedback: Biofeedback is a machine that connects to you with some form of sensor and indicates your level of stress. You then use interventions like music, breathing, singing, and thinking positive thoughts to induce your body and brain to relax. The metering by the biofeedback machine allows you to see what is working to reduce stress, heart rate, and slow breathing.
Resonance Repatterning: Also called Holographic Repatterning, is an alternative energy-healing framework. It uses muscle checking (applied kinesiology) as tight muscles are signs of stress, and ideas from quantum physics to find and clear negative, unconscious energy patterns, beliefs, or frequencies believed to cause emotional or physical distress. This practice works on the premise that pain and stress are the by-products of energy frequencies that the body and mind store, hence the use of kinesiology. Healing modalities used are breathwork, body movement, and sound and light healing.
Manifesting our Intentions: This practice’s premise isthat by driving focused thoughts, goals, dreams and visualization of achieving them, these actions will yield success. Hado is evident here in the energy movement. All of these elements are necessary and effective in goal setting, and generate hope and commitment. I also believe that adding some elbow grease will move you further along toward the goals attainment.
Hado is also refers to the life force in all things, that which moves and undulates. Watch for and feel it over the next few weeks. It is life force. It is scientific magic, and I wish you an abundance of it!
Happy Hado!
